I am delighted to share what the Center for Leadership at Cal State Fullerton takes on each year in highlighting successful business leaders and entrepreneurs. We know how adaptability and resiliency matter when faced with change that is intense, constant and unpredictable. The pandemic has set new levels of complexity for all of us. Let’s recognize some of the best leaders and companies that are our role models.
You can do that by nominating a leader who you believe has excelled through the uncertainty and hardships of COVID-19 and now into the next phase of this pandemic. While we are managing challenges never approached before, many of our top-leaders and companies continued to remain agile and their efforts deserve to be recognized and celebrated.
Last year The Center for Leadership celebrated four leaders and three companies. One example of that was the impressive Julie Miller-Phipps, President of Kaiser Permanente Southern California, Health Plan and Hospitals. She was awarded Excellence in Executive Leadership in the category of Growth. She led the business through incredible growth at a time when the stakes for health care capacity was very high.
There are now others to recognize given the challenges of this past year and the Center will celebrate those at the next awards event which is On Friday, September 24, 2021. All proceeds from the event support the Center’s many initiatives.
